An avid tennis player since a young boy, Charles was part of the USTA and competed in junior tournaments until the age of ten. He competed at #1 singles as well as doubles for three consecutive years earning first team all conference through the NECC in 2010.
In 2009 Charles, originally from Stratford CT, made the move to Cape Cod. He immediately began work with the Town of Dennis as a tennis instructor for their annual summer camps. He returned every year, and as the years passed more and more children joined the program. Parents were pleased with Charles professionalism and ability to relate to the children in a positive way. Come the summer of 2011, after much interest shown by the public, the town offered Charles the opportunity to teach private lessons for adults through the town on a sign up basis.
