Willy's Pickleball is proud to donate $1,000 from the proceeds of our Halloween tournament to HELPING OUR WOMEN (HOW), a local organization that provides vital services like meals and transportation to local women in need.

This cause is particularly near and dear to my heart. Over a year ago, Willy's hosted a free program on Fridays where participants donated what they could to Helping Our Women, raising over $6000 in a few short months. Little did I know that one day my own family would need their support. Recently, my family was deeply touched by their kindness when my only sister was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. We had to make numerous trips to Boston for her treatments, and Helping Our Women stepped in to guide me through the overwhelming process. They connected me with services such as transportation navigation, and support at Dana-Faber making a difficult time much more manageable. They even provided rides back and forth to Boston-sometimes on consecutive days- at no cost, and their kindness knew no limits and it continues to this day. We're not out of the woods yet, and Helping Our Women remains by our side, providing crucial support as we face the challenges ahead. This is an ongoing journey, but they have definitely made it easier for my big sis and our family.

Because of this, I've personally pledged to do everything I can to fundraise and support this incredible organization.
